How to Install LUTs in Final Cut Pro

How to Add Luts to Final Cut Pro

The first way:

1. Select a clip in the timeline in Final Cut Pro X.

3. Drag and drop your clip with the Custom LUT effect.
4. Click “Choose Custom LUT” from the LUT drop-down menu under the Custom LUT section. This will open a file browser window, where you can select the LUT file you wish to use. Once you’ve chosen the file, click “Open” to import the LUTs to Final Cut Pro.

The second way:

1. Repeat steps 1-3 above.

2. Under the Custom LUT section, select “Reveal in Finder” from the LUT drop-down menu to open the LUT folder in the Finder.

3. Unzip the LUT pack and copy .CUBE file into the Custom LUTs folder.

How to Apply LUTs in Final Cut Pro

Select the clip you want to apply the LUT in FCPX.

1. Go to the Effects tab and select the Color.
